Simply grease/prepare the heating core on the inside and outside, place in the center of the pan (opening up), fill with batter at the same level as inside the pan, and bake. When baking is completed, remove the cake from inside the core, use it to plug the hole in your cake, trim, and frost the cake. The superior heat conduction cuts baking times, provides for a better rise, and more even baking. Recommended for all cakes larger than 12" and/or for pans deeper than 3".
